Urban Up Unipol lancia “INOLTRE. Sharing the city”
In questo momento di ripartenza è importante favorire processi partecipativi, di inclusione sociale per immaginare nuove destinazioni funzionali, interventi di valorizzazione per creare nuove occasioni di socialità e di cultura per tutti in aree della città lontane dal centro dove oggi siamo meno abituati a cercarle.
Nasce con questi ambiziosi obiettivi “INOLTRE. Sharing the city”, il progetto di Urban Up | Unipol che mira a valorizzare, modificandone la percezione, le periferie milanesi, trasformandole in un laboratorio progettuale che generi interventi di micro-architettura, design, ricerca applicata ed eventi dedicati agli abitanti dei quartieri.
INOLTRE ambisce ad essere un Think Tank internazionale e interdisciplinare, che supporterà l’intero progetto garantendone la coerenza tra i vari interventi, l’etica e la sostenibilità. Sarà composto da personalità accademiche e della società civile, imprenditori e professionisti tra cui, solo per citarne alcuni, figurano anche progettisti di fama internazionale quali David Chipperfield e Ben Van Berkel.
Sostenibilità, salute e inclusione sono i tre valori che ispirano l’intero progetto e che saranno declinati in 3 temi di ricerca, uno per ogni area: salute e benessere nelle città post-globali e post-pandemiche in via Senigallia; l’arte e il design in relazione ai cambiamenti climatici in via Stephenson; la valorizzazione dei beni comuni urbani in relazione alle comunità locali in via dei Missaglia.

Urban Up Unipol launches the “INOLTRE. Sharing the city”
At a time when everyone needs a fresh start, participatory projects favouring social inclusion are important to help foster new functional purposes and value enhancement to create new social and cultural opportunities for everyone in suburban areas outside the city centre where they are normally sought.
This gave rise to the ambitious goals of “INOLTRE. Sharing the city”, the Urban Up | Unipol project that aims to raise the value of the Milan hinterland by changing perceptions, transforming the neighbourhoods into a workshop project featuring micro-architecture, design, applied research and events put on for the local residents.
INOLTRE aims to be an international, interdisciplinary Think Tank that will support the entire project and ensure consistency between the ethics of the various actions and sustainability. It will include people from the world of academia and the general public, businesspersons and professionals including internationally famous designers such as David Chipperfield and Ben Val Berkel.
Sustainability, health and inclusion are the three values that underlie the entire project, set out into 3 areas of research, one for each place: health and wellbeing in post-global and post-pandemic cities in Via Senigallia; art and design in relation to climate change in Via Stephenson; capitalising on common urban assets in relation to the local communities in Via dei Missaglia.
